GRAN MALBEC 2011
Vineyards:
Grapes from our own vineyards in Vista Flores, Paraje Altamira
and Gualtallary, which make this special wine a blend of Malbec
grapes, where the fruit of Vista Flores is combined, the strength
of Gualtallary and the freshness and elegance of Altamira.
Elaboración:
Manual harvesting, with cluster selection and shelling without breakage,
taking care of the integrity of the grain. Maceration of cold grains for 48
hours at 8*C temperature, soft extraction. Fermentation takes place in
small conical stainless steel tanks at temperatures between 25-27“C,
with selected yeasts. Subsequent malolactic fermentation with total
maceration of 25-30 days.
The wine is stored and aged in first and second use French barrels for
its aging of 14 months allowing a natural stabilization. The grapes from
the three vineyards used in this Great Malbec are prepared separately a
nd are gathered in the final cut, after 14 months of aging of barrels.
Stow in the bottle for 12 months. We wanted each vineyard to express
the best of itself separately to make this great wine.
Tasting notes:
View: Deep bright red with purple and purple reflections.
Nose: Expressive and fruity, red fruits such as strawberries,
raspberries and ripe plums typical of Malbec appear, in combination
with hints of vanilla and tobacco from its passage through oak.
Mouth: lts attack is fresh and juicy, elegant very good structure,
with sweet and round tannins. Excellent acidity, with a long,
pleasant and delicate finish.
Storage potential:
Elegance, complexity and upbringing, give
this great Malbec a guardian potential of more than 10 years.
