Description
Vineyards
The grapes come from our single vineyard located in Vistaflores, Tunuyán, Uco Valley at 1054 m.a.s.l. (3428 ft). We have a sandy loam soil in the higher levels of the vineyard and stones in the lower parts so we can divide the vineyard into parcels thus generating greater diversity. This allows us to produce a greater variety of wines from the same vineyard. The drip irrigation system in our vineyard sources from the snowmelting of the high peaks.
Winemaking
100% Malbec, growed in our vineyard in Vista Flores, where this varietal finds a perfect soil / climate combination. The grapes were harvested in 3 different time, from the best parcels. A rigorous selection of clusters was made before covering up. Micro vinification in small stainless steel vessels. It had a cold maceration of 72 hours at 8-10 ° C. A fermentation at 28 ° C. The total maceration was 20 days. For aging, French oak barrels were used, and then 12-month in bottle. Suitable for 10 years aging.
Tasting notes
Intense purple red color. At the beginning, red fruit notes such as cherry are perceived, then coffe and vanilla notes appear from the oak. Full bodied with fruity and notes of violets, on the mouth elegant tannins. The soft notes of the wood are perceived in the long finish.
